Acknowledging Traditional Territories
Baltimore and majority of Maryland are, "Unceded." Unceded means that no payment has ever been given to any indigenous people
who used to reside before, during, and today's Baltimore, and Maryland as a whole. Though there were treaties, and they were
"Peace" oriented (only for colonists), still in time, American citizens chose to betray those treaties. The few that currently
reside who ancestors were forced to leave, and through documents and personal items, can lay claim to Baltimore
and Maryland area. Many families, tribes, and nations dwelled in what we know today as "Baltimore City," especially because
it was ever so important to live on the edges of waterways.
"Reparations" page makes the case for Baltimore City Government to make reparations through the egregious atrocities
- trespasses it directly legislated, and "persuaded" through pamphlets.... Baltimore Town, which became Baltimore
City directly attempted to changed its nature, demographics, landscape, and trading routes in order to "get rid"
of those unwanted, especially indigenous - native peoples and African-Americans.
