Gardener - "Dennis the Menace" - Under Construction
Mr. George Wilson is in his 50's, retired, and dedicated to his more than addictive hobbies: stamp collecting, coin collecting,
bird watching, and gardening. Garden Club awards.
Don't bother Mr. Wilson when he is planting his flower garden. Don't even offer to help. You are bound to
be scolded! To Mr. Wilson, gardening is serious business. Earthworms to the rescue! Enjoy this episode with
little Ronny Howard as Stewart!
"Dennis' Garden" - "Dennis the Menace"
"You choppin' up the ground again, Mr. Wilson?... I guess he likes tender ground." You betcha. For planting
dahlias - or sweet potatoes. Dennis digs and makes himself his own flower garden, or - sweet potato garden?
Mr. Wilson is also an avid landscaper, as evidenced in this episode. Don't touch my pathway
stones Dennis!

Mrs. Morticia Addams - The
"Organically Beautiful" Gardener - "The Addams Family"
|
In her Conservatory |
Morticia reveals in Season Two, Episode 3 her daily schedule, "I weed my plants from 10:00
to 11:00."
Yes, Thing occasionally helps out, but it
is Morticia that tends to the Addams Conservatory, making her not just a gardener, but
a horticulturist. Hobby? No way. Morticia Addams is probably best known for cutting off those pesky
flower blossoms. But who but a horticulturist wants to bring focus to the lovely stems flowers have? There are
more plants that are worthy a more than once look-a-around, and there is none better than seeing them in a Conservatory.
Morticia views her plants not just as plants, or her pets, but almost as children. Venus Flytraps, amongst others are
happy campers in Morticia's plethora of flora creepers, stranglers, feathery ferns, and exotic endangered
species garden. Astronomy is not only fun, but important to the entire Addams family. When moonbathing,
Gomez checks the moonscape with his telescope, helping Morticia to be meticulous in what her outdoor gardens and Conservatory
vitamin D needs are. For these reasons, horticulturist Morticia is inducted into the Hall of Television Gardening
Fame, as the, "Organically Beautiful" Gardener.

Granny "You know what I miss most Ellie Mae?" Ellie Mae "What Granny?" Granny "Well, back home when we commence to a'plowing and a'planting, and a'harvesting
and a'barn raising; or any kind of a big job, the neighbors would all come by to see if they can help ya.
Folks out here don't do that in Beverly Hills. They don't seem willing to help you like the folks back
home."

Saving her home, and garden of course! |
Thelma "Mama" Harper - The "Curb Appeal"
Gardener - "Mama's Family"
Thelma "Mama" Harper takes great pride in her garden. After all, she showcases her pride, her home, in every opening
credit during two unprecedented reconstructed television series', 1983 - 1985 and 1986 - 1990 after years showcasing
inside her home via, "The Carol Burnett Show" and "Carol and Company" as well as film, "Eunice" since 1974 that have always
included plants and flowers. In several episodes we find Thelma tending not only to her garden, but indoor and hanging plants.
From the fern sometimes prominently over looming the piano, sometimes on its own pedestal, to the ivy bordering the
inner side of her window, especially the front window used often to catch the grand kids having smooches with their dates on
the front porch. Thelma has an exemplary "green thumb." Though Thelma wants to have the best tea
parties to impress Church members in her back yard, most of the pomp and circumstance occurs in the front yard.
Thelma wants the Golden Trowel for best landscaped home so so badly, yet to get back at her family
for past April Fools Day jokes, intentionally messes up her terrain, ending up sabotaging herself. Thelma
chooses to save her pride by jumping on a wrecking ball when the Mayor of Ray Town decides that her street should be the new
dump. With Thelma's generous heart, she even allowed a large sow to stay in her abode, as well as an Orchid
contest lover. Thelma still vies for Raytown's Golden Trowel, touring around America's countryside and cities,
to make sure that her garden and curb appeal is still the best. And so, this is why Thelma "Mama" Harper is
bestowed with being in, The Gardener's Hall of Fame.

Larry, Darryl, and Darryl - The
"Push Me Pull You" Gardener(s) - "Newhart"
Larry, Darryl, and Darryl surely seem eccentric. But how could
these backwoodsmen's manners of introduction be so out of place, especially in Vermont? Larry, Darryl,
and Darryl forage, tend to livestock, and though their garden is never shown, vegetables always show up in their, well, plate
weight balanced meals. It's clear that they saved whatever they could to woo Stephanie; with gifts, and suits.
